Hot? Cold? Wet?

I have been obsessively checking the weather prediction for the wedding beginning two weeks prior because that is the farthest out the accuweather.com will post a prediction (other weather sites do not even go that far).

I had checked on the historical weather for the wedding date, but that only tells me so much.

So I have been checking and saving the results and the predictions thus far have me feeling pretty good.
Here is the latest prediction:

This is a great forecast, which essentially means that it may rain at the venue this weekend, but by the time the wedding day comes, it should be warm, bright, and dry!
I am definitely excited about this because earlier predicions (AccuWeather.com does 14-day forecasts) were much less positive and reassuring.  See below:

As you can see, most of the previous forecasts predicted more rain for the week, and a variety of temperatures for the actual wedding day, with the high varying from 65 all the way up to 80 and one with rain on the actual wedding day.

Fear not, however, as I will likely post again for a weather prediction in the middle of next week so that we have an even better sense of how warm/cold/wet/dry the wedding day will be.

Fingers crossed!!!!!

The Map Project

I have mentioned before that we are getting married at Rush Ranch, which is an entirely open space.
What I may not have made clear is exactly how much we are making this ranch INTO a wedding venue.

Here's the long view of the venue:
You can barely see the connection to the 'main road' right in the top corner.

Now, a little closer:
Some of the buildings become clearer and more discernible.

And this is the space that will be used for the actual wedding:
Buildings, cars, trees, right.

Even though I'd been there more times than anything else, eventually I had to make this so that I could make some sense of what things are and where each part of the wedding will be (yay for Paint):

There we go!
I think maybe one or two small changes have been made, but this is the basic idea of where things will be the day of.   It's a lot of space and it definitely went through many iterations before settling on even the biggest basics, like where dinner and the ceremony will be.
I have sent these to the vendors and given them to the parents...my ushers and greeters will definitely have some things to learns about where everything is.

I love the space and it should be beautiful and green when we get there.

Wedding Weather

I have had a few questions about what the weather should be like for the weekend of the wedding.
Some people are worried about it being too cold, too hot, rainy, or some other difficulty.
Fortunately, weather in Northern California is generally predictable in terms of rain, and even getting a good sense of what the weather will be like is reasonably reliable.

In order to help out, I've looked up - previously and then again now - what the weather has been like in the past and what it should be like for the wedding:

This is the history of the weather for the time span from May 19th through May 23rd.

Pretty satisfactory.

Of course, we'll keep tabs on the weather when the dates get closer and we'll let people know if any major differences from this expectation arise but....for now, anyways.....I'm pretty satisfied.  We should be in for a long, beautiful day.
